What I did this week was working on my Rube Galloway project with my small group, working on the yearbook with the all the girls, making Thank you cards that helped us through out this camp, finishing up my mural with my group, all around the world, and much more. But my favorite activity of the week was making 2 posters of how to make sushi because that was our favorite dish out of the 30 days we had. I had learned so much from this camp, and now we are having a  presentation for our parents to show how much we learned. my top 4 favorite moments of the whole summer was hanging out in the gym, watching movies and tasting new foods from all around the world, getting on the computer to communicate with my friends on fb to relax my self from all the fun that I had, last all my hiking trips that made my day complete of happiness. The three things i learned from this summer was how to make an egg drop, how to make sushi, and make a simple task difficult. But I'm am looking froward to is starting high school and having my best 4 years count!!

my last week

Hey everybody this is malik and this is my last week. This week we finished up some projects like the graffiti murals. We also delivered the art to Project Place. The purpose of our art was to liven up the place so it is not so depressing. My favorite activity was was the basketball Olympics because Icould show off the skills that I learned. My favorite activities were basketball cooking class and fitness class. i learned how to shoot a basketball how to jump higher and to run. i am looking forward to to going back to school.

This week was fun we sat an watch a movie for hike. An I won the one on one basketball tournament. My favorite activity would be when we had the one on one tournament. my top three moments would be when this boy was going back an forth with these to girls, and well it was funny but at the same time it wasn't because he started to cry. when we where at lunch an I put the camcorder up to his chest. Last it would be when Mr. Clifford asked me to take over the class for the day. I was going to do it again on friday I had to go to my family Reunion.three things I learned this summer was how to fix a bike and bike parts. another would be that you can get aids by being born with it. last it would be some people can be homeless an have a talent. to going to the pool and to see if these people going to be there.

2011 SUMMER Camp

Hey its me gary yeah with the final blog here at vlp. The things Ive done this week was preparing for friday(tommorow) which is the final day at camp and when we present all our work. My favorite activity of this week was basketball. we had another tournament i lost to a girl IM HURT BUT ILL LIVE. I like the tournament becausei didnt get to do it last friday. My top 3 activities was basketball,Hiking,Workout class. 3 things ilearned this summer is how to eat halthy, play ball better,and that maryland isnt as boring as it seems. Well now that my summers winding down im going to the beach saturday and monday  i start summer bridge and  thats the rest of my summer

This week we went to project plase to give our paintings that we made.My favorite activity of the week was yearbook because we are almost done and this week we got to see how the 1st copy of the yearbook came out! One of my favorite activities this whole summer was  Drama because we got to make up our own play. Another favorite activity was music because we got to watch movies all the time and we listen to songs that were in 2011!!! One last activity was yearbook because we got to make up our on style that we would want the yearbook to be in and we got to take pictures of the little students and funny pictures of the little students!
I learned in this summer camp about communication during basketball and sportsmanship. Another picture I learned was about bikes and the diffrent parts of and how to fix them instead of buying a  new one. The things that im looking foward to for the rest of this summer hopefully going to kings Dominion and Im going to the beach!!!!!

mitchell's last stand

Whats up every body it's mitchell with my last post and my last week in theVLP. Im sort of sad that it's my last but I had tons of fun; this week i won a medal in basketball; we donated our posters to a homeless place called Project Place; we finished our murals and we are preparing to present them in front of everyone and I'm sort of sad. My favorite activity was basketball because I really improved in it and because I WON. My top moments of my summer were riding in a 100 year old streetcar; winning the competition and seeing how much I got in shape. This summer I learned how to really help people who need it; how to dribble better; and I learned how to do a real push-up. Now that camp is over Im going back to school next week so see ya later.
